We now offer R1234yf and R134a car air-con recharge and service
We offer R1234yf refrigerant re-gassing, also known as a car air-con recharge, at both Wheatley and Sturdys. We also offer re-gassing and servicing for cars using R134a at both locations.
R1234yf has been around since 2010 and became compulsory for new cars from 2013. Some manufacturers have been reluctant to use it because of its flammable nature, which means not all companies offer re-gassing for cars that use R1234yf. Due to the number of cars we sell, we have invested in the equipment to provide this service at both Wheatley and Sturdys.
A common question is why the R134a gas found in most cars is being replaced. The change is driven by environmental concerns: R1234yf is more environmentally friendly.
If your car needs an R1234yf or R134a re-gas or service, visit Wheatley or Sturdys.
