Keep your car cool in a heatwave

When temperatures soar, your car can quickly become unbearably hot. Not only is stepping into an overheated vehicle uncomfortable, but excessive heat can also affect your car’s interior, battery, tyres, and overall performance. Fortunately, a few simple steps can help keep your vehicle cooler, protect it from heat damage, and make every journey more comfortable.

1. Park in the Shade
Whenever possible, park under trees, in covered car parks, or in shaded areas. Keeping your car out of direct sunlight can significantly reduce the temperature inside the cabin.

2. Use a Windscreen Sunshade

8. Keep Essentials Out of the Heat
Avoid leaving items such as electronics, aerosols, medicines, or plastic bottles in your car for extended periods. Extreme heat can damage these items and, in some cases, create safety hazards.
