Never visited Wheatley car centre until I brought my Volvo XC60 in 2020. Since then I have used them for every service, MOT and work required (not that there has been much as they sell very good, reliable vehicles). I trust them so much my son now has his Mercedes looked after by them. Lorraine on reception is fantastic to deal with. Even when my sons friend forgot his MOT was due literally the next day, Lorraine got him in and again looked after him so thank you. Highly recommend all round from sales to servicing.

Brought a stunning 2020 Audi Q3 sport back and the customer experience was great , car was professional valeted and went through workshop for anything it needed , I had the car for a week roughly 600miles done and had a problem with the automatic transmission, I called and Lorraine and Mike got it booked in. And repaired within 48hrs can’t fault the customer service

My first encounter with Wheatley was back in 2024, when I looking to part exchange my car. I had already been to many dealerships and wasn’t happy with the price they were giving me. When I went to Wheatley they gave the best prize. Also they had the exact car I wanted at the best price. At that time I was served by Craig who was incredibly helpful, friendly and was not pushy with the sale. He did his best and it was exactly what I wanted.

I went back to Wheatley in 2025 for another car and again their customer service was immpecable! I was helped by Kiran who was kind enough to extend my reservation on the car and walked through everything with me. She was even able to get a tyre changed before I drove away with the car.

Went to Sturdys Castle Car Centre to look at a Seat Leon fr that they had just got in.Was looking around the car and Simon the sales guy came out with the keys so I could look around it and check it over.Went for a test drive in and it drove superb.Simon went through all the paperwork with me and I picked the car up a week later with a fresh MOT.

We went there yesterday,as a friend was looking at buying a used car from them.In the initial enquiry he was told that the vehicle was in good condition,we knew it was higher than average miles,but were told it had been fully serviced by them.Paid the reservation fee,and arranged a viewing time which was agreed two days before.
We live 100 miles away and made it clear we would be there on time.The dealer then wanted to push the appointment forward an hour,as she said people often turn up late.A little annoying but we agreed.
On getting to the dealership,the lady didn’t introduce herself,or greet us properly,or even ask if we had a good journey.Just gave us the keys and pointed us to the area the car was in.
On inspecting the car there were several issues,and we could see the vehicle had a possible engine defect on start up.There had certainly been no service carried out,and the vehicle had not been cleaned for sometime.
An engine cover was also missing,so obviously someone had looked at the engine before.
“Did you like the car” she said on our return.We raised our concerns,but all she said was that would be rectified when doing their PDI checks.I very much doubt that to be honest.
This is not good enough,and far from aceptable.We had a wasted day because she wasn’t honest in the first instance.
How can a dealer put a car up for sale, when very little care or prep had been done on it.
If this attitude reflects the rest of the cars they sell,i certainly wouldn’t waste my time even looking at any of them.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED- NO PUSHY SALES Found my new car on Autotrader and spoke with Simon. He was extremely honest about its condition before travelling 2 hours to view and test drive it. Brought a car from Wheatley car centre, always had issues with the aircon, they weren’t consistent when explaining what was wrong, had it back twice and now they’ve messed around with it so much we get heat one side and cold the other so it fogs up the car windscreen. Basically because ‘we don’t have warranty’ they will look at it but charge me to do so! We felt like once they had our money that we didn’t matter anymore! Car wasn’t even clean when we got it either! Won’t be buying another car from them!

1. After a 4hr drive I was asked if I wanted to test drive the vehicle.
2. Asked to service the gearbox with genuine parts to which they agreed however, this had not been done and had been done ‘on the cheap’. I asked for the photos of the products/work to which they sounded reluctant and never provided – I guess the above explains why.
3. Would not replace a broken grill and instead stuck it back together with superglue or alike.
4. Wing required respraying that they did and asked if I wanted the manufacture badge putting back on (to match otherside).
5. Everything felt very rushed and not particularly accommodating (wasn’t even offered a drink after a long commute).

Just purchased a car from here such a great experience not pushy sales at all! Kiran was great throughout the process and was always happy to answer any questions I had etc… brill company and wouldn’t hesitate to buy a car from them again!

The lady on the counter, fantastic! The young girl that works there, how she’s got a job in a customer environment I do not know, extremely rude, drags her feet when walking, no enthusiasm whatsoever.

I saw a car I liked on their website , Kiran was very helpful, explained my options for purchase/part exchange. I part exchanged my old car and was given a fair price.

Purchased a nice Mini from here recently. Impressed with their professional approach and in particular the 60 point check that the car goes though before you actually drive it away. All faults corrected and also anything that might be classed as an advisory in an MOT test so the process was pretty thorough. Bought a 10 year old car from them and had a few mechanical issues within the first week which was very concerning. The used car industry has such a poor reputation so i was very sceptical. They had the car back for 3 or 4 days to sort them out which they did. They also extended my 7 day cooling off period so that it commenced from when I got the car back. I don’t expect a 10 year old car to be perfect but Wheatley Car Centre stand by their reputation and responsibility for their customers. An outstanding used car purchasing experience. Kiran has been brilliant throughout the process – Easy is the word that comes to mind. The salesman was the most argumentative and awful human being, he told lie after lie. I hope I never come across anybody like him ever again.

My boyfriend was buying a car on the condition that the cam belt was done (8yo car) and paint job on the roof was done (lacquer coming off). The salesman said it was no problem at all, they apparently have an ex Rolls Royce bodywork specialist and the cam belt was a quick job – no problems. We thought it was amazing… The first issue was we were told the cam belt was done 2 years prior, it transpired that this was a lie and was actually done 5years prior and despite being told by them it was due every 8 years, it is actually due every five. A week later we made the journey back to collect the car and neither the paint job or due cam belt were done. When we asked why the things that he said were no problem hadn’t been done, he just told lies, made up every excuse under the sun, was extremely argumentative and honestly just so disgusting towards both of us. If you are thinking of travelling any distance I wouldn’t bother. You will just have your time wasted and if you’re anything like me, very upset – I can’t stand people who think they can take advantage of people like that, especially paying customers. My boyfriend only ended up driving away with the car because he needed it and we’d spent so much time travelling for it. In hindsight, we definitely should have walked away from it. Just awful to be honest.

What a disgusting company with abysmal customer service. My partner was selling his car via Motorway and they won the sale with the highest bid. Having used Motorway before to sell previous cars, the process has always gone smoothly so we anticipated this would be the same. How wrong we were!

Before they even arranged collection of the car, they spoke to my partner over the phone and were rude and immediately said they would likely change the amount they were willing to pay as they suspected he had lied about the condition of the car. This prompted us to look into Motorways T&C’s to check that if this was to happen we had the right to refuse the amended offer. Luckily we would be able to.

They then arranged collection for a Tuesday, didn’t turn up and then late in the day informed us that they would collect on Wednesday at 11am. Fast forward to the collection time, the person that arrived to collect the car was rude, stuck up and dismissive. He looked around the car meticulously as expected, bringing up the tiniest marks which are hardly visible and then came to the conclusion that the car was in good condition and as had been described in the Motorway profile.

But was this good enough? No. He then proceeded to reduce the price by £400 because the cambelt hadn’t been done – even though the entire service history was included in the Motorway advert and they would have known prior to placing a bid that the cambelt hadn’t been done – because it is not yet at the mileage that requires it!

I imagine this is there usual practice, bid high on cars to ensure they win the auction and then try to bully the sellers into a lower price upon collection regardless of how accurate the seller has described the car.

Fortunately I already knew my rights from Motorway, so I was able to reject the amended offer as I know I am able to sell the car for a higher amount through WeBuyAnyCar. But I think the way in which this garage conducts business is embarrassing.

Rude with a bullying mentality. A pathetic excuse for a business.

Avoid if you can and I will be putting a complaint in directly with Motorway also.

This place isn’t like other car sales garages. Simon who dealt with us wasn’t pushy and was very honest about the cars he had for sale. We got a part exchange on our car for an Audi A3 and the process was quick, seamless and professional. We even got a service and MOT free of charge as all cars leave with at least 6 months mot left. Will definitely be using Sturdys again and will be recommending to friends and family i the future.

Wheatley’s bought my car via Motorway and the process was very smooth and painless. Was contacted a couple of days after purchase to arranged collection. On the day of collection David turned up on time and was a pleasant guy to deal with. He checked the car over and took it for a test drive. He did knock a small amount from the original sale price due to a couple of the alloys showing small signs of bubbling but that was fair enough. Payment as pretty instant and V5 transfer completed. All in all a pleasant experience. High Recommended.

Visited Wheatley car centre and met Chris in sales. Impressed by how clean the cars and showroom were and how relaxed everyone was. No hard sell or pressured environment. Encouraged to help myself, take my time and sit in lots of cars. There was nothing suitable so I left.

My wife saw an advert a month later and we looked at an Audi. The car was very clean with an excellent service history. There were some minor scrapes and scuffs that Chris said he would be able to sort prior to us collecting the car. No test drive available other than a 7 x day option to return it for a no quibble refund.

On collecting the car none of the work had been done and it was getting close to Christmas. I purchased the car against my better judgement and trusted Chris to fix any damage in the new year. If it was anyone else I probably would have walked away.
I am very pleased with the car and the bodywork looks very good indeed. They valeted the car again and as compensation for my time and the delay Chris has thrown in some free fuel.
I am sure I would visit Wheatley car centre again for any future purchase.

I have to select atleast one star. All they are looking is money. I dealt many mechanics and never felt expensive like this. The cost of just a diagnosis induction cost 40£. So..bought a used car from here a few weeks ago, Chris who actually sold me the car was fantastic and couldn’t do enough for me. John who handed the car over was also great and dealt with all the paperwork for the new car and also all the paperwork for my traded in car including taxing my new car. I had the car for a week and heard a whining coming from the rear of the car(something they wouldn’t have known about) which i diagnosed as a differential on the way out and my heart sank, assuming i would now have a battle on my hands to get the garage to rectify it. How wrong i was, when i took it back the lovely Lorraine (receptionist)took the car back immediately and gave me a courtesy car for the week while they sourced new parts and also replaced the rear tyres as a precaution.Picked it up today fully repaired and valeted.Can’t recommend them all highly enough. Didn’t buy anything but lovely motors

After reconsidering a car purchase that I had already fully paid. They immediately refunded all my cash, no questions asked. Very professional throughout.

I was very pleased with the service I received at Sturdys, in particular Simon was excellent. I found a great little car, low mileage and there were a couple of things I wasn’t happy with that I noticed the day after I took it home. I called Simon and without hesitation he told me to bring it back the following weekend and the issues were duly sorted out and I was given a courtesy car in the meantime. Really pleased with the car and would certainly head back to Sturdy’s in the future.

Extremely understanding and kind… I had been approved for finance but the finance company were taking their time to payout, I was constantly kept updated by Simon because he knew I was so excited and desperate to get my car sorted. I went and picked my car after the finance company made the payment and Simon waited for me even after they were meant to be closing.

The car was clean inside and out! Very low mileage for the age and very reasonably priced too.

So far, it’s driving good and I’m hoping it does for a very long tome to come. Only had it a few months now 🙂

We found a lovely car advertised on Auto Trader at Wheatley Car Centre, made an enquiry via email, receiving a prompt response from Chris. The car was being prepared for sale so only limited pictures were available but on request, Chris happily provided us with more photographs.
As with most cars nowadays, the service history is online with the main dealer and unavailable unless you own the car , I queried this with Chris, again he emailed the dealer service paperwork to prove the service history.
We were offered a competitive trade in against our car (without it being seen due to the Covid distance selling regulations) there wasn’t any haggling on its condition when we arrived.
When we collected our new car, it had been fully valeted, serviced and MOT’d with a receipt for over £600 of work undertaken in line with the manufacturers recommendations.
We felt that Wheatley Car Centre have gone the extra mile and didn’t cut any corners.
When we collected our car we felt all Covid regulations were fully observed, our car had been fully sanitised and we were handed a ziplock bag with keys and paperwork inline with the government guidelines and felt very safe.

Was looking to update my wifes volvo, and noticed an 18 plate civic. So popped along to have a look, not really committed. However there was another car that caught our eye, a volvo v40. The salesman Jon Axford spoke to us and gave us the keys to both cars. We had a good look round both, then decided on the Honda Civic. We were offered a good price on our trade in and left a deposit. We picked the car up, on the following Saturday. Jon was fantastic. So easy going and laid back, while being professional. Also due to covid we were given a 48hr no quibble return policy, so if it didn’t suit us, a full refund would be given. This wasn’t necessary as the car drove great, and we are very happy customers (Happy wife happy me) . When the time comes to change my own car, wheatley car centre and Jon, who is an absolute credit to the business and industry, will be my first port of call. We’ll done and keep up the great work.

Extremely dishonest and lied numerous times about ‘damage’ when purchasing our smart car. Simply offensive in purchasing our car from us for an immaculate car and the only thing they could find to knock the price down below the reserve price was one yes one minor scratch of about 3-4mm and tried to convince us that stuck on bug was a scratch. Then said he would need to respray panels to remove these tiny scratches which I then rubbed off. Bought it for 7k and selling for 9.3k only days later. Don’t sell your car to this dealership unless you want them to make your wife cry at being ripped off as they did to us.

Very easy place to deal with. James did not do the ‘hard sell’ I had time to have a good look around the car and make my own mind up. I needed some bits changing on the car which James sorted out for me in a timely manner and no fuss. I did not need to chase. Things were done when James said they would be done. They even got the tax sorted out for me so I didn’t have that hassle as well. There was some very minor scratches in the driver’s door well. (Previous owner) When it was time to pick the car up they were gone. Made my purchase pain free. Bottom line – when it comes time to trade in this car I will be going back to them again. Very happy.

Having used Wheatley Car Centre for many years for our mots and servicing and receiving such lovely service from Lorraine, when it came time to look for a new car we decided to check out Wheatley Car Centre and we were not disappointed! Jon was an absolute pleasure to deal with! He was very reassuring(explaining how it would work with corona-virus protocols in place), very friendly and not remotely pushy. He gave us plenty of time and space to look round the car prior to buying it and our car was ready for collection earlier than expected. It was ready for us in beautiful condition and we love it but was i was even more impressed with was the fact that after owning the car for a few days Jon contacted us just to make sure we were happy and everything was ok.

It’s a strange time to buy a car especially during a pandemic – for both parties not being able to physically see it or test drive makes it all the more harder in making a decision…luckily enough I had James at Wheatley Car Centre to help me – even though I had done my research on the car I wanted and had pretty much driven the car in my head – James was still able to assist me on the questions that I had. We have just recently traded in our previously bought car from Sturdys and whilst both experiences were hassle free I have to say the latest experience was outstanding. Simon was very helpful and gave us the time we needed to complete our decision. James was incredibly helpful and accommodating and gave a lot of time helping us out. We had a pretty difficult situation to sort as we have been overseas for a long time and therefore have no credit rating. We didn’t need the finance on the car and but figured it would be a good way to get some up and running – James helped us sort all aspects, even those that were not really connected to the car. Recently purchased a Tiguan from here and have only positive comments about the whole experience. I spoke to James initially on the phone and when I arrived he allowed us to look around the car at our own speed on our own which makes a nice difference from other garages trying to ram information down you to buy the car.

We have recently bought a car from Wheatley Car Centre. Having usually found looking for and buying a car to be a stressful experience, we were hugely impressed with them as a company and particularly James Hawes, who dealt with our enquiry. James made the whole process really easy and applied no pressure on us, giving us time and space to buy at our own speed. The general feel for the staff across the office reflected the positive experience we had when buying from James too.

Price wise, Wheatley Cars are very fairly priced. We are really happy with our new car which came with a three year warranty. When the time comes we will certainly be returning.

I bough a Citroen Cactus form Chris yesterday and I had a very positive experience overall. They have a very good range of cars at very reasonable proces. Went to look at the cars a week ago, found the one I wanted, Chris gave us the keys and let us have a look around the car, took us on a test drive as well. Apart from the car being brilliant, the whole process to buy it was great from start to finish. My self and a friend went to view a car at this center met By John a sales rep at Wheatley very friendly and welcoming . I test drove the car I went to see and was very impressed with the presentation of the vehicle and the part exchange offer made on my vehicle we arranged a exchange date later in the week once the car had had a coat of paint and trim protection.
