Went to Sturdys Castle Car Centre to look at a Seat Leon fr that they had just got in.Was looking around the car and Simon the sales guy came out with the keys so I could look around it and check it over.Went for a test drive in and it drove superb.Simon went through all the paperwork with me and I picked the car up a week later with a fresh MOT.

When you spend over £10,000 on a car you would expect it to be Immaculate inside.It still had mud in it and was very dusty in places.

Went with my dad to buy a used car and they were brilliant. Picked up on a few little bits on the car and they fixed them before we went back to pick them up. After sales is spot on, got the car home and noticed a chip on the windscreen, rang them up and they sorted it the same week. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED- NO PUSHY SALES Found my new car on Autotrader and spoke with Simon. He was extremely honest about its condition before travelling 2 hours to view and test drive it. He advised that the issue would be resolved before I collected it. Not only that but it was serviced had a new MOT and also a new gear stick at no extra cost. I went to Sturdy’s car centre to purchase a car for my partner. No pushy sales tactics just asked to look and he got key and left us to look around for as long as we needed. I asked for a test drive he was quick to help with trade plates and took me out the road. Good chat very knowledgeable and the car was perfect. Before I could do a deal on her mini. I see a great example of a golf he had around the back. Got talking about the golf and ended up buying both cars. I called into Sturdys to have a look at a mini I’d seen online. Simon was absolutely fantastic, he brought us out the keys left us to it, just told us to grab him for a test drive, we did this, loved the car. What a disgusting company with abysmal customer service. My partner was selling his car via Motorway and they won the sale with the highest bid. Having used Motorway before to sell previous cars, the process has always gone smoothly so we anticipated this would be the same. How wrong we were!

Before they even arranged collection of the car, they spoke to my partner over the phone and were rude and immediately said they would likely change the amount they were willing to pay as they suspected he had lied about the condition of the car. This prompted us to look into Motorways T&C’s to check that if this was to happen we had the right to refuse the amended offer. Luckily we would be able to.

They then arranged collection for a Tuesday, didn’t turn up and then late in the day informed us that they would collect on Wednesday at 11am. Fast forward to the collection time, the person that arrived to collect the car was rude, stuck up and dismissive. He looked around the car meticulously as expected, bringing up the tiniest marks which are hardly visible and then came to the conclusion that the car was in good condition and as had been described in the Motorway profile.

But was this good enough? No. He then proceeded to reduce the price by £400 because the cambelt hadn’t been done – even though the entire service history was included in the Motorway advert and they would have known prior to placing a bid that the cambelt hadn’t been done – because it is not yet at the mileage that requires it!

I imagine this is there usual practice, bid high on cars to ensure they win the auction and then try to bully the sellers into a lower price upon collection regardless of how accurate the seller has described the car.

Fortunately I already knew my rights from Motorway, so I was able to reject the amended offer as I know I am able to sell the car for a higher amount through WeBuyAnyCar. But I think the way in which this garage conducts business is embarrassing.

Rude with a bullying mentality. A pathetic excuse for a business.

Avoid if you can and I will be putting a complaint in directly with Motorway also.

This place isn’t like other car sales garages. Simon who dealt with us wasn’t pushy and was very honest about the cars he had for sale. We got a part exchange on our car for an Audi A3 and the process was quick, seamless and professional. We even got a service and MOT free of charge as all cars leave with at least 6 months mot left. Will definitely be using Sturdys again and will be recommending to friends and family i the future.

Seamless purchase and pick up. The Mercedes I bought was well described, impeccably prepared and a very good price. I drove 170-miles to get this – it’s well worth the effort if you’re out of area.

I bought my 2014 Mini Cooper here 7 months ago. Simon the sales man was really professional and honest, they never pressure they customer to buy their car. I was really impressed when he gave me the key to have a look around the car at your own pace and just let them know if you like the car. From car service, warranty and car history is everything on the table and very smooth transaction even by telephone or email.. Keep up the good work guys… Highly recommended. Best car dealer.

Extremely understanding and kind… I had been approved for finance but the finance company were taking their time to payout, I was constantly kept updated by Simon because he knew I was so excited and desperate to get my car sorted. I went and picked my car after the finance company made the payment and Simon waited for me even after they were meant to be closing.

The car was clean inside and out! Very low mileage for the age and very reasonably priced too.

So far, it’s driving good and I’m hoping it does for a very long tome to come. Only had it a few months now 🙂

I was very pleased with the service I received at Sturdys, in particular Simon was excellent. I found a great little car, low mileage and there were a couple of things I wasn’t happy with that I noticed the day after I took it home. I called Simon and without hesitation he told me to bring it back the following weekend and the issues were duly sorted out and I was given a courtesy car in the meantime. Really pleased with the car and would certainly head back to Sturdy’s in the future.

We have just recently traded in our previously bought car from Sturdys and whilst both experiences were hassle free I have to say the latest experience was outstanding. John is the top guy here and is the most helpful guy I know. His staff are very good and I’ve been using them for years and as long as they are there I’ll continue to do so.

Just ensure you check with the sales people that the description is right, i saw a car advertised with service history so i sent a big enquiry asking all about the car and part exchange details to be told more than 24 hours later the car simply has no service history, yet another garage a waste of time.

Saw advert on Auto Trader before Sturdys had had time to add photos. Drove down(40 miles) and saw the car in the condition it had been brought in by the previous owner. We dealt mainly with Simon, who was very friendly and helpful, he told us to spend as much time as we wanted looking over the car while he went off to do other things(I liked that, no-one looking over your shoulder). He told us that some minor scratches on two corners by the previous owner, were to be dealt with by the bodyshop. It was given a full service and MOT, two new tyres because their treads were just down to 3mm – EXCELLENT SERVICE. I would recommend this company, especially Simon, and his colleague Scott(I think it was) was also just as helpful when we collected the car, as it was Simon’s day off.
So far we are very pleased with our purchase, a Kia Sorento, especially looking forward to towing our caravan, the main reason for buying this car.

I bought my Mazda2 here. Simon was excellent and easy to deal with. There were a couple of issues with one of the wing mirrors and the rear wiper which were sorted with no fuss and with easy charm. Very happy with the car and with the customer service.

I found a Passat from Sturdy’s on Auto-trader. The guy who showed me round was friendly and not pushy in anyway. The car was very reasonably priced compared with similar cars on Auto-trader. Finance from the garage was available and I was given a quote, but I found finance from elsewhere, again I did not feel pressured go with their finance deal. I have had the car for a few months now and it seems to be going very well. I would definitely recommend them.
