Brought a stunning 2020 Audi Q3 sport back and the customer experience was great , car was professional valeted and went through workshop for anything it needed , I had the car for a week roughly 600miles done and had a problem with the automatic transmission, I called and Lorraine and Mike got it booked in. Never visited Wheatley car centre until I brought my Volvo XC60 in 2020. Since then I have used them for every service, MOT and work required (not that there has been much as they sell very good, reliable vehicles). I trust them so much my son now has his Mercedes looked after by them. Lorraine on reception is fantastic to deal with. Even when my sons friend forgot his MOT was due literally the next day, Lorraine got him in and again looked after him so thank you. Highly recommend all round from sales to servicing.

My first encounter with Wheatley was back in 2024, when I looking to part exchange my car. I had already been to many dealerships and wasn’t happy with the price they were giving me. When I went to Wheatley they gave the best prize. Also they had the exact car I wanted at the best price. At that time I was served by Craig who was incredibly helpful, friendly and was not pushy with the sale. He did his best and it was exactly what I wanted.

I went back to Wheatley in 2025 for another car and again their customer service was immpecable! I was helped by Kiran who was kind enough to extend my reservation on the car and walked through everything with me. She was even able to get a tyre changed before I drove away with the car.

We went there yesterday,as a friend was looking at buying a used car from them.In the initial enquiry he was told that the vehicle was in good condition,we knew it was higher than average miles,but were told it had been fully serviced by them.Paid the reservation fee,and arranged a viewing time which was agreed two days before.
We live 100 miles away and made it clear we would be there on time.The dealer then wanted to push the appointment forward an hour,as she said people often turn up late.A little annoying but we agreed.
On getting to the dealership,the lady didn’t introduce herself,or greet us properly,or even ask if we had a good journey.Just gave us the keys and pointed us to the area the car was in.
On inspecting the car there were several issues,and we could see the vehicle had a possible engine defect on start up.There had certainly been no service carried out,and the vehicle had not been cleaned for sometime.
An engine cover was also missing,so obviously someone had looked at the engine before.
“Did you like the car” she said on our return.We raised our concerns,but all she said was that would be rectified when doing their PDI checks.I very much doubt that to be honest.
This is not good enough,and far from aceptable.We had a wasted day because she wasn’t honest in the first instance.
How can a dealer put a car up for sale, when very little care or prep had been done on it.
If this attitude reflects the rest of the cars they sell,i certainly wouldn’t waste my time even looking at any of them.

Brought a car from Wheatley car centre, always had issues with the aircon, they weren’t consistent when explaining what was wrong, had it back twice and now they’ve messed around with it so much we get heat one side and cold the other so it fogs up the car windscreen. Basically because ‘we don’t have warranty’ they will look at it but charge me to do so! We felt like once they had our money that we didn’t matter anymore! Car wasn’t even clean when we got it either! Won’t be buying another car from them!

Purchased a nice Mini from here recently. Impressed with their professional approach and in particular the 60 point check that the car goes though before you actually drive it away. All faults corrected and also anything that might be classed as an advisory in an MOT test so the process was pretty thorough. The salesman was the most argumentative and awful human being, he told lie after lie. I hope I never come across anybody like him ever again.

My boyfriend was buying a car on the condition that the cam belt was done (8yo car) and paint job on the roof was done (lacquer coming off). The salesman said it was no problem at all, they apparently have an ex Rolls Royce bodywork specialist and the cam belt was a quick job – no problems. We thought it was amazing… The first issue was we were told the cam belt was done 2 years prior, it transpired that this was a lie and was actually done 5years prior and despite being told by them it was due every 8 years, it is actually due every five. A week later we made the journey back to collect the car and neither the paint job or due cam belt were done. When we asked why the things that he said were no problem hadn’t been done, he just told lies, made up every excuse under the sun, was extremely argumentative and honestly just so disgusting towards both of us. If you are thinking of travelling any distance I wouldn’t bother. You will just have your time wasted and if you’re anything like me, very upset – I can’t stand people who think they can take advantage of people like that, especially paying customers. My boyfriend only ended up driving away with the car because he needed it and we’d spent so much time travelling for it. In hindsight, we definitely should have walked away from it. Just awful to be honest.

I saw a car I liked on their website , Kiran was very helpful, explained my options for purchase/part exchange. I part exchanged my old car and was given a fair price.

Collected the car the following week, Kiran explained the pre sale servicing, 3 month warranty and breakdown cover included.

I purchased a previous car 7 years ago from Wheatley Car Garage and the main reason I went back was the excellent Customer Service pre and post sale.

1. After a 4hr drive I was asked if I wanted to test drive the vehicle.
2. Asked to service the gearbox with genuine parts to which they agreed however, this had not been done and had been done ‘on the cheap’. I asked for the photos of the products/work to which they sounded reluctant and never provided – I guess the above explains why.
3. Would not replace a broken grill and instead stuck it back together with superglue or alike.
4. Wing required respraying that they did and asked if I wanted the manufacture badge putting back on (to match otherside).
5. Everything felt very rushed and not particularly accommodating (wasn’t even offered a drink after a long commute).

Dominic was great. Very friendly and professional service. Would highly recommend

I don’t expect a 10 year old car to be perfect but Wheatley Car Centre stand by their reputation and responsibility for their customers. For a while, I’ve been searching for a decent Mercedes E Class to purchase. After discussing with several firms and sellers and inspecting their vehicles, I came across a Mercedes E Class listing belonging to Wheatleyn Car Centre on Auto Trader. It seemed like a very clean vehicle with low mileage. I reserved the car by paying £99. When I went to see the car the next morning, Russell welcomed us warmly. Russell was a very friendly and cheerful seller. After seeing the car, we pointed out some minor issues to Russell, and he assured us that he would address them all before delivering the vehicle. When we went to pick up the car a week later, the service maintenance had been done, all four tires were replaced, and the car was polished. I must admit, this was the highest quality service I’ve ever experienced. When we notified Russell of a small issue we noticed in the car, he made a slight price adjustment for it. He swiftly completed the sale and all other procedures, delivering our car without delay. Drove past twice this week, i have to close my eyes each time…too many beautiful cars on the forecourt at the moment! The black merc slk /slc, the vw golf gti? Audi’s…good collection! Too scared to take a “look”

Visited Wheatley car centre and met Chris in sales. Impressed by how clean the cars and showroom were and how relaxed everyone was. No hard sell or pressured environment. Encouraged to help myself, take my time and sit in lots of cars. There was nothing suitable so I left.

My wife saw an advert a month later and we looked at an Audi. The car was very clean with an excellent service history. There were some minor scrapes and scuffs that Chris said he would be able to sort prior to us collecting the car. No test drive available other than a 7 x day option to return it for a no quibble refund.

On collecting the car none of the work had been done and it was getting close to Christmas. I purchased the car against my better judgement and trusted Chris to fix any damage in the new year. If it was anyone else I probably would have walked away.
I am very pleased with the car and the bodywork looks very good indeed. They valeted the car again and as compensation for my time and the delay Chris has thrown in some free fuel.
I am sure I would visit Wheatley car centre again for any future purchase.

Wheatley’s bought my car via Motorway and the process was very smooth and painless. Was contacted a couple of days after purchase to arranged collection. On the day of collection David turned up on time and was a pleasant guy to deal with. He checked the car over and took it for a test drive. He did knock a small amount from the original sale price due to a couple of the alloys showing small signs of bubbling but that was fair enough. Payment as pretty instant and V5 transfer completed. All in all a pleasant experience. High Recommended.

After seeing the car online I spoke to Jon and we agreed a date when the car would be ready to see / buy. We travelled to Oxford and decided it was a ‘yes’. There was no pressure from Jon and the place is so much better than the faceless car supermarkets. There was a problem with the wing mirrors (only discovered when we got home) but Jon and his colleagues sorted the issue putting our convenience at the forefront at all times. So..bought a used car from here a few weeks ago, Chris who actually sold me the car was fantastic and couldn’t do enough for me. John who handed the car over was also great and dealt with all the paperwork for the new car and also all the paperwork for my traded in car including taxing my new car. I had the car for a week and heard a whining coming from the rear of the car(something they wouldn’t have known about) which i diagnosed as a differential on the way out and my heart sank, assuming i would now have a battle on my hands to get the garage to rectify it. How wrong i was, when i took it back the lovely Lorraine (receptionist)took the car back immediately and gave me a courtesy car for the week while they sourced new parts and also replaced the rear tyres as a precaution.Picked it up today fully repaired and valeted.Can’t recommend them all highly enough. I have to select atleast one star. All they are looking is money. I dealt many mechanics and never felt expensive like this. The cost of just a diagnosis induction cost 40£. Please stay away and there are many other garages where do diagnosis for free it’s my fault to choose this one. Learnt a lesson

Was looking to update my wifes volvo, and noticed an 18 plate civic. So popped along to have a look, not really committed. However there was another car that caught our eye, a volvo v40. The salesman Jon Axford spoke to us and gave us the keys to both cars. We had a good look round both, then decided on the Honda Civic. We were offered a good price on our trade in and left a deposit. We picked the car up, on the following Saturday. Jon was fantastic. So easy going and laid back, while being professional. Also due to covid we were given a 48hr no quibble return policy, so if it didn’t suit us, a full refund would be given. This wasn’t necessary as the car drove great, and we are very happy customers (Happy wife happy me) . When the time comes to change my own car, wheatley car centre and Jon, who is an absolute credit to the business and industry, will be my first port of call. We’ll done and keep up the great work.

We found a lovely car advertised on Auto Trader at Wheatley Car Centre, made an enquiry via email, receiving a prompt response from Chris. The car was being prepared for sale so only limited pictures were available but on request, Chris happily provided us with more photographs.
As with most cars nowadays, the service history is online with the main dealer and unavailable unless you own the car , I queried this with Chris, again he emailed the dealer service paperwork to prove the service history.
We were offered a competitive trade in against our car (without it being seen due to the Covid distance selling regulations) there wasn’t any haggling on its condition when we arrived.
When we collected our new car, it had been fully valeted, serviced and MOT’d with a receipt for over £600 of work undertaken in line with the manufacturers recommendations.
We felt that Wheatley Car Centre have gone the extra mile and didn’t cut any corners.
When we collected our car we felt all Covid regulations were fully observed, our car had been fully sanitised and we were handed a ziplock bag with keys and paperwork inline with the government guidelines and felt very safe.

Having used Wheatley Car Centre for many years for our mots and servicing and receiving such lovely service from Lorraine, when it came time to look for a new car we decided to check out Wheatley Car Centre and we were not disappointed! Jon was an absolute pleasure to deal with! He was very reassuring(explaining how it would work with corona-virus protocols in place), very friendly and not remotely pushy. He gave us plenty of time and space to look round the car prior to buying it and our car was ready for collection earlier than expected. Very easy place to deal with. James did not do the ‘hard sell’ I had time to have a good look around the car and make my own mind up. I needed some bits changing on the car which James sorted out for me in a timely manner and no fuss. I did not need to chase. Things were done when James said they would be done. They even got the tax sorted out for me so I didn’t have that hassle as well. There was some very minor scratches in the driver’s door well. (Previous owner) When it was time to pick the car up they were gone. Made my purchase pain free. Bottom line – when it comes time to trade in this car I will be going back to them again. Very happy.

Extremely dishonest and lied numerous times about ‘damage’ when purchasing our smart car. Simply offensive in purchasing our car from us for an immaculate car and the only thing they could find to knock the price down below the reserve price was one yes one minor scratch of about 3-4mm and tried to convince us that stuck on bug was a scratch. Then said he would need to respray panels to remove these tiny scratches which I then rubbed off. Bought it for 7k and selling for 9.3k only days later. Don’t sell your car to this dealership unless you want them to make your wife cry at being ripped off as they did to us.

We have recently bought a car from Wheatley Car Centre. Having usually found looking for and buying a car to be a stressful experience, we were hugely impressed with them as a company and particularly James Hawes, who dealt with our enquiry. James made the whole process really easy and applied no pressure on us, giving us time and space to buy at our own speed. The general feel for the staff across the office reflected the positive experience we had when buying from James too.

Price wise, Wheatley Cars are very fairly priced. We are really happy with our new car which came with a three year warranty. When the time comes we will certainly be returning.

Recently purchased a Tiguan from here and have only positive comments about the whole experience. I spoke to James initially on the phone and when I arrived he allowed us to look around the car at our own speed on our own which makes a nice difference from other garages trying to ram information down you to buy the car.
No pushy tactics trying to desperately sell the vehicle just honest comments and a relaxed manner. Simple and pleasant experience so will definitely be back to get the next one.

I completed a part exchange during lock down and it was a very easy seamless service.
James sold me my new Q5 and he was very knowledgeable and helpful , I am happy with my new car and will look to do future business with Wheatley cars. They serviced my car before I collected also which was a bonus.
The only thing I had a small niggle about was my new car diesel was on red and I did mention this but had a good deal with my new car which was fair but a little bit of diesel to go on first drive with would of been nice and made such a difference in my opinion.

We had a pretty difficult situation to sort as we have been overseas for a long time and therefore have no credit rating. Great advice and help – and a car that we’re very pleased with!

Worst customer service I have experience for a while

We felt relaxed and were not pressured in any way to buy. Chris allowed us all the time we needed and answered all of our questions.

Good place …got two minis still going well

Purchased a car in February, after they processed it’s MOT/service – en route home it failed me and I was stuck in snow on the motorway for 3-4 hours, I received only an apology. The car was repaired a few days later after RAC took it to WCC’s workshop, no courtesy car offered and they said they had ordered in the cigarette lighter which they would call me back for when it’s arrived as I discovered this was faulty. I called them 4 times over 3 weeks and it hadn’t arrived, they promised to call me back each time but didn’t so I gave up in the end. Was also promised by James he would send the spare key and he never did. Nice customer service until the car is gone, and a few patch ups to sell the cars. Not happy, not worth paying dealer prices for.

Great place and no pressure sales

I’m highly impressed with the service provided to me by Chris during the purchase of my new car (seat leon). He walked me through the process clearly and carefuly, explaining everything I needed to know. As a first time buyer this was incredibly helpful.

The car itself was in excellent condition having been valeted and serviced prior to collection and was handed over with 1/2 a tank of fuel.

The only suggestion I would give is to learn a little more about the cars as some features were unclear.

Great selection of cars. Prices reasonable. Location easy to find and access. Salesmanship very good although could do with remembering better to keep in contact if they’ve promised to contact back about something. Would recommend a visit.

Bought a lovely little up! At a bargain price great service sales people are lovely not pushy at all we were given 2 sets of keys to try the cars out and we went to them if we needed anything. This is about the only used car garage I trust. They’re extremely helpful and don’t offer you ridiculous packages and on the plus side the cars and prices are very competitive. No pressure sales and plenty of stock!

James the salesman was very helpful, not pushy in any sort of way, didnt feel like he needed to make the sale and that was it, he gave me plenty of time to make my mind up. Set things up very quickly and on the plus side I got my car a day earlier than they said. Great service would recommend to all my friends. On the down side we only got two cups of coffee. Haha. He also didnt seem go mind my dad being with me not like in the past with other sales people.

Bought an 2009 A5 here mid April 2018, for an old car I was surprised how well built and maintained it was, I was comforted by the extra work carried out by Wheatley Car Center to ensure the car came to me in tip top condition.

I was the proud owner of a BMW 3 series and was very reluctant to part with her but after driving the A5 for a couple of weeks I fell in love.

I did take the car back after a week, this turned out to be my own paranoia (getting used to the awesome Quattro system). The team happily and professionally engagued with me about my concerns, this was great aftercare service of which I haven’t experienced in a long time.

Overall I was very happy with my experience and will definitely going back for my services and mabye future purchases.

The sales team are very experienced and knowledgeable and the engineering department very diligent and technically capable, I would highly recommend these guys if you want an honest, friendly and professional service.

My wife and I had a wasted 300 mile round trip from North Wales to Oxford on the strength of this garage’s description of a BMW 320d estate. What a waste of time and money! You don’t expect to find scratches on panels, and an automatic tailgate which refuses to open, on a car with only 19,000miles on the clock. The engine bay was filthy, even though it had been recently serviced, and the car was covered in small white specks. We were offered a drink, but a £20 contribution towards our wasted journey would have been much more acceptable.

BMW 5 Series Touring was advertised with clean bodywork but on arrival the car had scratches and scuffs on just about every panel. Wasted four hours of my day travelling to view the car. A bit more honesty could have saved us all some time. Questionable Dealership.

Really not very professional at all. They’ve messed me over, my husband and his mum who wasn’t even a customer. Very pushy and make you feel you have to make a purchase. Will be going back to a big dealership from now on. Really not happy! Manager doesn’t seem to care either.

I found the staff extremely friendly and easy to deal with and I am delighted with the car. However it required a replacement part that was unforeseen and was fitted under the terms of the warranty at an agreed time with minimal fuss. I would have no hesitation in recommending Wheatley car centre to friends or associates.

I bought my grand cherokee from Wheatley after seeing the vehicle on the internet.
The sales staff were very helpful as I live in Northamptonshire.
When I arrived at the car centre the staff were the most profesional people I have delt with in a long time.
I would recomend them to any car buyer. Their service and after sales service is the best.

The sales man was very polite and welcomed. I found couple of cosmetics issues inside the car and he agreed to sort them out when it is ready for collection. Everything was OK on the collection day. Nice deal!

I recently bought a car from Wheatley Car Centre and I have to say the experience from start to finish was great. They took time to listen to what I needed and though they were very busy were happy to let me look around cars at my leisure. When we’d decided on a car, they were very responsive and flexible when it came to picking up the car and have been great at following up to make sure that everything was OK.

They came over as honest and caring the whole way through and would recommend their service to anyone.

I had a good experience here as my sales person was not too pushy but showed me the interior and exterior of the cars, and I hate persistent cold selling so I was at ease looking at the cars. It was no problem for him to bring the car out of the show room for me to test drive. I found the choice of cars to be good, and the prices reasonable. I did buy the car I went to see, and they were nice enough to sort out the tax for me, so for me, a good customer service.

I bought my 10-plate Mazda MX5 from Wheatley Car Centre in February 2015 and chose them because they had the car I wanted at the right price rather than any previous experience or reviews.

Location is easy to find from M40, being just over 1 mile from junction 8A.

Purchase experience was generally good but final delivery was slightly disappointing as the Salesman I had been dealing with was away (due to illness) on the Sunday we arrange handover – The office was locked when I arrived (after near 1 hour drive) and there was no note posted on door to advise customers anyone was actually there – when (the only) Salesman did show he was already dealing with another customer and had at least two others waiting after me.

Pre-delivery valet was poor – e.g. a heel mark I’d previously highlighted on door sill plate was still there on delivery but was easily removed with T-Cut once I got home, suggesting a disappointing attention to detail.

Overall, I would recommend Wheatley Car Centre as they have a good range of vehicles at reasonable prices; its easy to get to from Aylesbury, Oxford, Buckingham Milton Keynes, etc (and they offered me a better PX value than I expected).

I bought a car here in February and had the worst experience in my life. I had look at buying a newer car for about 3 months, and did a lot of research on potential different dealers. I had made the decision to go to Wheatley Car Centre as the website look decent. I had 3 cars in mind and a budget of 7 to 8k to spend on a car. The salesman never came out of the office to show and talk me about the cars. I understand it was a sunday and it was busy. I tried to start 3 cars and they didn’t turn over. I was there for about 3 hours. I really needed to get a car as my insurance and MOT had run out on my last car. I ended up choosing a car that I hadn’t thought fully about and really regret my decision with going to a place that won’t give you good service unless you LOOK like you are going to spend 15k to 20K on a car. I ended with a car that doesn’t fit my needs and I really felt as if I was just a number. When I pick up the car there was NO petrol in it. AVOID this place, very unhelpful and the cars look nicer on the internet and aren’t great in person. STAY AWAY from here. This isn’t a reflection on the salesperson who help me, as I dealt with the “manager” who didn’t want to offer any help with my concerns after I got the car. The dealership is poorly run and the salesperson is just another victim of a badly mismanaged dealership. I am looking ALREADY to get rid of the car I purchase as I am that unhappy with it even though I will be paying the price for the decision. Plain and simple STAY AWAY.

I had my clutched changed with them because my uncle recommended them and so I had used them a number of time. They charged me £500. Upon checking the internet and phoning around for quotes the standard rate is £300. When I challenged them, they said parts were £90, vat £80, and said it was because their labour costs were more expensive, £200 more expensive than other garages. Not an honest garage.
