Standard vehicle insurance may not always cover the full cost of replacement or repair for tyres and alloy wheels. That’s why we’re proud to offer the WSG Tyre & Alloy Insurance programme.

What Is Tyre & Alloy Insurance?

Tyre & Alloy Insurance is a specialist protection plan which covers damage to your tyres and alloy wheels that might occur through normal driving conditions — such as kerb damage to alloys, punctures, or other impact-type issues. For example, WSG’s “Car Angels Tyre & Alloy” programme covers many types of alloy damage and tyre replacements (see details below).

Key Benefits of WSG Tyre & Alloy Cover

• Alloy-wheel protection – Cover includes painted, powder-coated, diamond cut, matte finish and powder chrome wheels. Repairs or refurbishment of your alloys (up to 10 repairs/ refurbishments) are included.
• Replacement contribution – If an alloy is ripped, perforated, torn, cracked or distorted and cannot be repaired, the programme provides a contribution up to £200 (incl VAT) per wheel for replacement.
• Tyre protection – Unlimited puncture repairs (excluding run-flat tyres) plus up to 6 replacement tyres during the duration of your plan if repair isn’t possible (subject to the maximum cost per tyre shown on your schedule).
• Complimentary annual inspection – As part of the service you’re eligible for an annual inspection of your wheels and tyres by your approved dealer or via WSG’s approved agent.
• Simple claims process – You simply call WSG with your plan number and relevant details. They’ll verify your cover and advice next steps on authorised repair/replacement.
• Peace of mind – You won’t be left facing a large cost if damage occurs to your alloy wheels or tyres because of everyday driving hazards.

How It Works

1. Your plan commences 30 days from your vehicle delivery date and runs for a defined term (for example 3 years in the WSG programme).
2. If you damage a wheel (kerb, crack, distortion, etc) or suffer tyre damage beyond normal repair, you report it to WSG.
3. WSG authorises the appropriate repair or replacement. The work is carried out by approved agents.
4. You’re covered up to the limit specified in your plan – for example, WSG’s tyre & alloy plan covers up to £2,000 of repairs/refurbishments or alloy replacement contributions, depending on selected tyre plan.
